A Happy Mom

Wow it has been awhile, life has been very busy, with doctor appointments, dentist, and company and to top it off  my old energy level has dropped to almost zero. Tomorrow is another day and it will be better.  My son Steven has been staying with us and what a joy to have him around you know when they grow up and move out life changes, to have him back just for a few weeks is wonderful, he is recovering from a full shoulder replacement and he has three more weeks before he can actually move or do anything with his arm other than lifting it three times a day, physical therapy will start in three weeks and for him that is getting his life back.  For Mom it means I will have to let him go again, being a mother is and always has been my sacred duty my life changed the moment  I first set
eyes on him my first born I was no longer a young woman I was a mother and I always will be, so for me having him here under my roof captive and willing to play cribbage with me is such a Koo.  I might add he is the luckiest cribbage player I have ever seen I win maybe one out of five or is that ten anyway I love the game win or lose, but I would like to win once in awhile.  Now that he is fifty he looks so much like my Dad, that just adds to my pleasure of having another handson man
around the house.  What a lucky lady I am.  Now if I could just figure out a way to get my girls to come stay for awhile, I really can not complain about the girls they love to go to Palm Desert and we do spend some real quality time down in the sun. Steven has never gone to Palm Desert so this visit is a real treat.[
