My evening stroll after a beautiful day

I call my evening strolls, my walk abouts I do it every evening in the summer just before the sun sets.  It is my time to settle my soul and reflect on my day.  It started out bumpy but I was finally able to get my head and heart going.  I have been working on a couple of projects and two are complete, my Hoffman Challenge is in the mail as well as my layout of what I will wear at the APWQ fashion show, I will be modeling three outfits, they are still not completely finished some hemming and beading will finish them.
I know what you are thinking Delaine modeling? yes it is true but I am hoping my quilted outfits will cover my short chubby body well enough, I agree they would look better on a stretch model but that is the fun of it we will be all sizes and shapes and the wearable will be great.  To top it off  it is part of the APWQ's big quilt show in Tacoma August 23rd thou the 26th check out the APWQ web site and mark your calendars it is a wonderful show, we are so blessed to have a show of this caliber and there are wonderful classes.  Volunteers are needed for white glove and covering the floor  so sign up and come join the fun....And  I will be there greeting you, I wish I could show you what I am making but that's the fun of it, a secret you know, you have to come to the show, I will tell you one thing there is a bit of sparkle and beads on mine.  For now please enjoy the photos of a lovely evening.

My landscape design is survival of the fittest and I must say the weather has helped my garden.

Friends and Family is what life is all about

Dr Mark Craddock is one of my hero's; he has always been there for us whenever we needed him, it has been almost twenty-five years  A great guy, with Pam his nurse they make a great team she is the frosting, together they have cared for us and given us good counsel.  I wanted to give him a quilt and this is the one he chose,  We are growing old together as the saying goes and it is a good match.  Thank You Mark and Pam for always being there for us...

The 4th was a lovely day I was busy and I did not get many pictures I was having too much fun. The menu was: Fried chicken, fruit salad, pasta salad, potato salad, watermelon, anti-pasta, deviled eggs and for desert wild black berry pie and pineapple upside-down cake with Popsicles and drinks.  We had a few firework's of our own but the real show was over Henderson Bay, Wow what a show, this year was unbelievable.  We had the trees trimmed in front of us and we could see everyone on the SandSspit and beyond it was the best show ever.
Here are some snaps of my gang.

The men's circle of laughter and talk, Dennis, Donald, Sherm and Jerry.  One wonders what they were talking about they were deep into the conversation with laughter and hushed voices, man talk not to be shared with the women folk.  Well we ladies had our own circle of chit chat, what fun having a quiet conversation with friends and family.  It was a great 4th of July
