Tacoma Art and History Museum

A day at the History and Art Museum
a lovely day spent with friends the Chahully glass was wonderful we crossed the open air bridge across the freeway to see the glass displays with the sun shinning they were a glow with color  the sunshine turned then into sparkling visions of wondrous color.  The art museum  did not work for us there were some lovely pieces like the Andy Warhol self portrait that was great and the paper and cardboard dog was great big and fun.  Other than that the Art show was disappointing  The Spaghetti Factory was good I was surprised it was not crowded like I remember it; do you think the economy has hit the tried and true Spaghetti Factory the food and service was great and the price was right

The Gig Harbor Library Quilt Show Is Up

The theme is "Seasons" and for a small show the variety is wonderful.  My camera was dead so no pictures tonight I will get some tomorrow, anyway if you are any wheres near the Library on Pt Fosdick pop over you will enjoy the show.  It always amazes me how we are all so different in our creative ways, how each one chooses color and design all using the same subject and yet we are all so different. and original.  Well done ladies, Especially Pat Rosenthal our ladder gal she did a  great job with Cathy Fisher at her side the quilts went up in good order, Janet Larson spear headed the layout she has an eye for color and she does a great job.  There are of course many others who helped to set up this lovely show.  It was a team effort thank you all for a job well done.
